About Us

Gastro-e-Learn provide an independent platform for high quality, peer-reviewed GI-related learning materials. The project operates on a ‘not-for-profit’ basis. We work in partnership with sponsors, Specialist Societies and Representative Bodies to honour a pledge to provide ‘Core Learning’ free to NHS Staff in the UK.

The production of quality e-learning requires a significant time and financial investment. A number of funding models are in place to develop learning materials to be hosted on the Gastro-e-Learn Learning Management System (LMS).

Unless a session meets the highest instructional design standards, undergoes expert peer-review, a ten-stage quality assurance process and user-testing it will not make it into the My Learning area.

SPONSORS
We would like to acknowledge and express our sincere gratitude to those sponsoring partners who have provided educational grants to support the development of interactive content on the site whilst allowing full editorial control to remain with the Gastro-e-Learn team. This type of multi-media resource is expensive to build and maintain. Without their support and generosity we would not be able to provide free access to the Core Learning material for all NHS users in the UK or to keep subscription costs as low as we have done for the other available resources.
